Next Steps

We envision fundraising for collective initiatives supporting the work of a wide range of partners over time. This working group will first explore key questions to develop our collective fundraising framework and process. Initial questions include:

  • How will we determine which opportunities we focus collective fundraising efforts on?

  • What protocols should we abide by in our collective fundraising pursuits to maintain allegiance to the collective spirit and desire for greater impact together, rather than advancing only our own organization?

  • What should the priority sequencing and pacing be for collective fundraising?

Opportunities for BMAC Members to Contribute in 2024

  • Research and write grant solicitations aimed at funding initiatives directly aligned with BMAC Collective Impact Strategy areas and priorities (WG: Collective Fundraising)

  • Cultivate relationships with new funders / funding streams (Community Foundations, individual donors, Philanthropic Advisors) that may be interested in supporting collective impact work (WG: Collective Fundraising)

  • Sign onto or directly participate in pitches for collective fundraising to maximize our collective impact. (WG: Collective Fundraising + National Events & Campaigns)

  • Asking your own funders to give toward collective fundraising campaign(s) in addition to funding your individual programs. (WG: Collective Fundraising + National Events & Campaigns)
